The 2021 Annual Conference of the Association for Legal Education of Hunan Province was held in Changsha on December 19. More than 60 experts and scholars contributed ideas and offered advice on the topic of "Cultivation of Interdisciplinary, Integrated Innovative Legal Talent Against the Backdrop of New Liberal Arts." The conference was hosted by the Association for Legal Education of Hunan Law Society, organized by the School of Law and Public Administration of HUTB, and sponsored by Guangdong Guanghe (Changsha) Law Firm.
Liu Dinghua, Professor of Hunan University Law School and Honorary President of the Association for Legal Education of Hunan Province, said that colleges and universities should be the leading force in the basic research of talent cultivation. They should put forward the goal and plan of all-round talent cultivation. He noted that innovative legal talent cultivation requires the employers to play a positive role in talent cultivation.
"Under the new circumstances, our next step is to figure out how to meet the major needs of the country, the future and the Four New Missions through legal education reform," said Yu Ling, President of the Association for Legal Education of Hunan Law Society.
Liu Qixiang, Dean of the School of Law and Public Administration of HUTB, said that the exchanges of new academic trends, the sharing of new achievements, the establishment of new ideas and the discussion of new methods in the conference will undoubtedly provide stronger intellectual support for the innovative development of legal education in Hunan in the new era. He said that HUTB will also take this conference as an opportunity to carry out closer exchanges and cooperation with universities in Hunan, and deepen cooperation with law experts of Hunan, so as to achieve in-depth integrated interaction between law teaching and research, fully promote the construction of law major, and make greater contributions to the cultivation of legal talent and the course of rule of law of Hunan.
The experts made speeches at the conference from their respective research fields and the integrated development of law disciplines. They also made speeches on the themes of "Interdisciplinary, Integrated Legal Talent Cultivation Against the Backdrop of New Liberal Arts" and "Interdisciplinary, Integrated Law Major and Curriculum Construction Against the Backdrop of New Liberal Arts."
