HUTB Holds the First Debriefing Evaluation Meeting of Second Student Union

On March 18, the first Debriefing Evaluation Meeting of second Student Union was held in E305 Lecture Hall of Lezhi Building and attended by the teachers from Youth League Committee, Students Affairs Division, presidium members of Student Union and presidium members of branch of Student Union of schools. The meeting was presided over by Huang Yimin, Executive Chairman of Student Union.
Yang Jia, Secretary of Youth League Committee, had an in-depth exchange and discussion with the students on the daily work, organizational construction, reform effectiveness, university-school linkage, and innovative brand activities of the Student Union. She put forward three requirements for the organization of Student Union: first, we shall continue to deepen the reform, clarify the responsibilities and serve the students wholeheartedly; second, we shall focus on the main business and carry out study, education and daily management activities in a down-to-earth manner; third, we shall strengthen the construction of cadres and improve their comprehensive quality.
Presidium members of Student Union and the Executive Chairmen of the branches of Student Union reported on their works last semester in turn. Everyone summarized the work in five aspects such as ideological guidance, deepening reform, cultural service, supervision mechanism and characteristic activities, and put forward the prospects for future works. After evaluation, the top five branches of Student Union are School of Literature & Journalism, School of Law & Public Administration, School of Art & Design, School of Economy & Trade, School of Public Administration and Human Geography.
Establishing the debriefing evaluation system is an important measure for HUTB to implement the Opinions on Promoting the Deepening Reform of Student Union in Colleges and Universities issued by the Central Committee of the Community Youth League of China, the Ministry of Education and the All-China Students’ Federation. The holding of this debriefing evaluation meeting is conducive to strengthening the construction of student union cadres in HUTB, mobilizing the initiative, enthusiasm and creativity of the branches, promoting Student Union to play a better role as a bridge between the university and the majority of young people, and contributing to the development of HUTB.
