First Tennis Game of HUTB Comes to a Successful Conclusion

In order to carry forward students' spirit of unity and cooperation, enhance friendship, go in for physical training and learn skills, School of Sports and Health held the first tennis game of HUTB from April 29 to May 6. There are five major events in this competition including the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. There are 23 players for men's singles, 24 players for women's singles, 11 pairs for men's doubles, 12 pairs for women's doubles and 9 pairs for mixed doubles. The players show their skills and face each game with full enthusiasm and positive attitude, which makes this game very exciting and enjoyable.
In the competition, the players went all out, actively attacked and defended, and became more and more brave, showing their excellent psychological quality. The audience was in high spirits, cheering for the players from time to time, and the atmosphere was warm. On the field, the players fought fiercely, and a series of actions, such as serving, driving the ball from the bottom line, volleying in front of the net and lob, were both natural and standardized, which attracted bursts of applause from the students.
After fierce competition, Fu Baiwei from School of Finance won the men's singles championship and Ouyang Yang from School of Computer Science & Information Engineering won the runner-up; Shao Yutian from School of Law & Public Administration won the women's singles championship, and Xie Shi from Graduate School won the runner-up; Liu Meng and Wang Dajun from Graduate School won the men's doubles championship, and Li Binhong and Li Le from School of Science won the runner-up; Liu Yongyan and Wang Yuwei from School of Finance won the women's doubles championship, and Yan Guorui and Pan Yingnuo from School of Economics and Trade won the runner-up; Liu Xingyu and Zeng Chaoyu from School of Accounting won the mixed doubles championship, and Zhang Deng and Zhou Ziying from School of Computer Science & Information Engineering won the runner-up.
