On the morning of June 15, He Baoxiang, Deputy Governor of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, surveyed HUTB. Provincial government leaders, including Peng Xiang, Deputy Secretary of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, and Wang Yuqing, Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Hunan Province, as well as all HUTB leaders, including Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and HUTB Party Secretary, Huang Xin, HUTB Vice Party Secretary and President, and Xiao Xiaoqin, HUTB Vice Party Secretary accompanied the survey. Heads of relevant divisions and offices under the General Office of the People’s Government of Hunan Province and the Department of Education of Hunan Province participated in the survey.
The delegation led by Deputy Governor He Baoxiang visited Buduotang Art Museum, Creative Cultural Center, Creative Center, Zhichuang Space, Maker Workshop and Creativity Gallery in the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity Park of Lingnan Campus, Chufeng Academy, Sports Center and Qiushi Academy in the Economic Management Complex, and National Center for Basic Science, State Key Laboratory Breeding Base of Data Intelligence and Smart Society and provincial key laboratories and engineering research centers in the Technology Building. They were also briefed on HUTB’s achievements in talent training, discipline and specialty construction, scientific research and achievement transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship and project transformation, and campus culture construction.
Deputy Governor He Baoxiang spoke highly of HUTB’s achievements in the research and development of cutting-edge technologies in digital economy and “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, construction of modern academies, education and teaching practices, training of specialized talents, and breeding of entrepreneurship projects. He pointed out that HUTB, with advanced education philosophies, rich education connotations, remarkable education achievements, and fresh and new development achievements, has created first-class learning and living conditions for students, and made important contributions to the economic and social development of Hunan and the state. He said that the People’s Government of Hunan Province will deliver quality services by providing strong guarantee for the construction of Xiangjiang Laboratory and supporting Academician Chen Xiaohong and her team in scientific research. He also expressed the hope that HUTB, under the leadership of Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and HUTB Party Secretary, will further enhance education levels, strengthen comprehensive strengths, enrich cultural connotations, build characteristic highlights, cultivate more talents, and contribute HUTB’s wisdom and power to high-quality economic and social development.
